About the service
Bygdegård uses this service for booking venues, facilities and activities. It runs on the Folke platform, provided by Folke Tech AB.
A time shown as available is not a guarantee. Bookings are always subject to the rules and decisions of Bygdegård.
Acceptance of terms
These terms apply when you create an account or make a booking. When you book, you also confirm the booking rules of Bygdegård and the cancellation terms shown for the booking.
If you book on behalf of an association or organisation, you are responsible for being authorised to represent it.
How bookings work
- Some bookings need approval. A request is not confirmed until you are notified in the service.
- A booking is binding once you have received a confirmation.
- Bygdegård may have its own requirements, e.g. age, membership or safety rules. They are shown in the venue's or activity's information.
- Bygdegård may need to change or cancel a confirmed booking for operational reasons. You will then be notified through the service.
Payment
Prices are set by Bygdegård and shown, including VAT, before you confirm the booking. You can pay as follows:
- Card – the payment is taken when you book and handled by the payment service provider Stripe.
- Invoice – Bygdegård sends an invoice. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation terms are set by Bygdegård and shown for each booking before you confirm it, and in your booking confirmation. The terms in force when you booked apply to that booking.
- You cancel yourself under My bookings for as long as cancellation is open.
- Refunds are made to the payment method you used, for the amount the cancellation terms specify.
- If Bygdegård cancels a booking, you get the full amount back.
Right of withdrawal
Under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59), there is no right of withdrawal for leisure services to be provided on a specific date or within a specific period. A booked time therefore cannot be withdrawn from, but you can cancel it under the cancellation terms.
Your responsibility as a user
- Provide correct and complete information.
- Follow the rules for the venue or activity you book.
- Keep your login details to yourself and tell us if you suspect someone else has used your account.
- Do not book speculatively, create fake accounts, or try to circumvent or disrupt the service.
If you breach these terms, Bygdegård may restrict or close your access to the service.
The organisation's role
Bygdegård decides and is responsible for:
- Which times and venues can be booked
- Whether a request is approved or declined
- Requirements on bookers and rules for the venue
- Prices, fees and cancellation terms
- Reporting, e.g. for LOK support
The platform and liability
Folke Tech AB provides the platform but is not a party to the booking between you and Bygdegård. Folke is not responsible for booking decisions, for damage arising from your use of a booked venue, or for service interruptions beyond what is reasonable.
